    Relevant Experience and Key Skills:  

    • Leadership experience in all aspects of Finance & Accounting, including IT and Procurement, for a business line with annual revenue of $1.2 B and 1,300 employees.
    • Treasury experience managing banking relationships, cash forecasting, daily loan activity, borrowing base preparation, covenant compliance, interest rate swaps and covenant stress testing.
    • Controller experience managing multiple business lines and legal entities with revenue of $4B.  Financial Reporting experience managing ~20 legal entities with ~$10B revenue.
    • Led Internal Audit for a 300,000 Bbl/day Refiner & Marketer with revenue of $18B.  Managed SOX compliance for Treasury and Credit.  Deloitte audit experience.  Managed external audit in various roles.
    • Led MD&A reporting, forecasting, covenant compliance, balanced scorecard, flash reporting, op planning, capital budgeting and the operating budgeting process.
    • Led the strategic planning process and provided input to the strategy as part of the Business Line Leadership Team.
    • M&A valuation, due diligence, financing and integration experience.
    • Extensive experience leading all aspects of Credit and Collections for Supply & Trading and Refining & Marketing.  Experience negotiating for collateral including letters of credit, guarantees, blanket security, mortgages and other collateral in addition to negotiating credit provisions in master agreements including ISDA’s and NAESB’s.
    • Commercial and Sales Management experience.
    • Experience hedging commodity price risk and interest rate exposure with swaps and NYMEX contracts.  Tested swaps for effectiveness under FAS 133 hedge accounting.


    Noteworthy Accomplishments:   

    • Led initiatives that reduced expenses and capital employed, delivering a $6 million improvement in economic profit.
    • Supported the closing of a 3 year $950mm committed revolving credit facility.  Supported the closing of a Subordinated Debt facility to support acquisitions.
    • Leveraged process and technology to reduce AR by ~$60mm, realizing a $3 million interest savings and achieving the lowest Days Sales Outstanding in the company’s history.
    • Led teams of more than 150 while receiving favorable leadership ratings from my team and peers.  Formally recognized for developing team members and improving accountability.
    • Aligned and focused team to achieve a $110mm reduction in billed exposure of past due credit reviews during the first year of joining a new team.    


    Special Contributions:  

    • Finance lead valuing Convenience Retail locations in Mid-Atlantic and New England for potential acquisition following ExxonMobil merger.
    • Worked with Operations to improve business performance by focusing on daily metrics including Truck Throughput, Optimal Fill and On-Time Delivery.
    • Led a structured finance project to increase bowing capacity by creating an Accounts Receivable factoring entity and secured 3rd party Debt and Equity.  Achieved an overall cost of funds below target and successfully avoided requirement to consolidate under Variable Interest Entity rules.
    • Worked with the CFO on a Business Process Outsourcing business case for ~400 FTE’s including Customer Service Call Center, Billing, Credit & Collection and AP Transaction Processing employees and completed due diligence in India.
    • Developed Daily and Monthly Dashboard Reporting with expanded performance metrics. Automated reporting for US, Brazil and UK by developing Excel macros run against Oracle Sub-ledger data
